Statement from The City of Humboldt on
COVID-19 RESPONSE: ADDITIONAL HEALTH MEASURES

Humboldt, SK – On Friday, November 13, 2020, the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority announced they are adding more measures in an effort to curb the transmission of COVID-19 across the province. These expanded measures impact the City of Humboldt as well as 58 other cities and communities in Saskatchewan.

Effective Monday, November 16, 2020, through to December 14, 2020, (a 28 day period) masks will be mandatory in all indoor public places in communities larger than 5,000. This includes the City of Humboldt. As well, all restaurants and licensed establishments must stop serving alcohol by 10 pm and consumption must end by 11 pm.

Fitness facilities can continue to operate, but group activities will be limited to a maximum of 8 participants. All participants must stay 3 meters apart for the duration of the session.

City owned and operated facilities that are open to the public that these restrictions will apply to are:

  • City Hall
  • Humboldt & District Museum
  • Humboldt Gallery
  • Humboldt Uniplex:
    • Administration and Common Areas
    • Aquatic Centre (except when in the pool)
    • Curling Rink
    • Elgar Petersen Arena
    • Fitness Centre
    • Meeting Rooms

Please be respectful to employees and business owners when you visit their establishment.

City Council and Administration would like to remind you to keep up the good work and continue to make a conscious decision to protect your family, friends and your community by practicing social distancing and remaining at home if you are experiencing symptoms.
