Parks, Trails & Outdoor Activities

We have over 30 acres of parks and open spaces and a growing community trail system. The City values active and healthy lifestyles and will continue to invest in our parks and recreational amenities.

Outdoor recreational opportunities continue to grow within the City of Humboldt. Residents and visitors are able to enjoy safe and accessible recreation spaces including numerous sports fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, a spray park, skateboard park, disc golf course and plenty of open green space spread throughout the community. The City also has kilometers of walking trails connecting the community and reaching beyond our borders.

Although our parks are free for general usage, if you are looking at hosting an event or gathering within one of our parks complete a Park Permit Application Form and submit to the Community and Leisure Services. This process allows us to reserve the park for your event and ensure that you have all the services you need to make your day a success!

St. Dominic School Outdoor Arena

The City of Humboldt currently has one outdoor rink, located at the St. Dominic School grounds, at the 100 block of 6th Street in the south portion of the City. The outdoor natural ice surface is open seasonally as conditions allow. The ice surface is complete with lighting and a small shelter for lacing up your skates. The rink is not supervised and patrons are encouraged to contact the City of Humboldt if there are any questions or concerns.

Centennial Park Outdoor Rink

The City of Humboldt is currently in the process of building a new outdoor rink at Centennial Park.  This new outdoor rink will be located near the Skateboard Park.  Please check back for updates!

JCI Spray Park

The community spray park is nestled in one of Humboldt’s beautiful outdoor spaces – Water Ridge Park. The park is located on 1st Street, north of Hwy 5 in the northeast corner of the community. The JCI Spray Park was officially opened on May 25th of 2012 and has been a popular location for those looking to escape the heat throughout the summer. The spray park is unsupervised and typically operates between May and August, depending on the weather. The surrounding area includes benches, walking trails, an open cook shelter and washroom facilities. Please see the Community Leisure Services Facebook for opening day.
