The City of Humboldt is pleased to advise that the new access road into Centennial Park from Highway 5 is complete and is now open for public use. Additionally, the portion of the parking lot directly in front of the main entrance to the Uniplex has been paved. Lighting in the parking lot is expected to be completed this fall with further landscaping next spring.
The City has been working on improvements to Centennial Park for the last number of years to create an attractive park for residents and visitors to our community. The 2021 portion of the project will focus primarily on completing landscaping and trails necessary to wrap-up the approved project.
The estimated cost for the work done in 2020 and 2021 to complete the project is $1.8 million.
