On June 14th at 5:15 pm, Mayor Rob Muench called a state of Local Emergency for the City of Humboldt due to the high amount of rainfall that fell within a short period of time, and the risk of storm water infiltrating and overwhelming the sanitary sewer system.
Please do not panic, but please ensure that your sump pumps are functioning properly and that the discharge is directed outside and not into the sanitary sewer system.
