NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

At the City Council meeting held May 26, 2025, the City of Humboldt introduced Bylaw No. 12/2025, a bylaw to amend Bylaw No. 04/2016 – The Zoning Bylaw. The Bylaw introduces several changes to the Zoning Bylaw ranging from spelling/grammar errors to larger amendments.

For further information/clarification please contact the Planning Department either via email at planning@humboldt.ca or by phone at 306-682-2525. A copy of the amendment map and draft bylaw may be made available upon request.

Council for the City of Humboldt will be reading the bylaw for a second time at the Regular Council Meeting held June 23, 2025. If you have questions or wish to comment on the plan (or appear before Council on this matter), this can be done by:

1) Contact the Interim City Clerk – Email: cityclerk@humboldt.ca or call (306) 682-2525. Correspondence must be received prior to noon on June 19, 2025.

2) Regular Mail – Addressed to Jace Porten, City Controller, P.O. Box 640, Humboldt, SK S0K 2A0. Correspondence must be received prior to noon on June 19, 2025.

3) Public Hearing – Held at the Regular Meeting of Council on June 23, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers located at 715 Main Street.

 

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The City of Humboldt has received a discretionary use application to move in a Shipping Container at 706 2nd Avenue – legally described as Parcel K, Plan 59H05286.

Shipping Container: a prefabricated metal container or box specifically constructed for the transport of goods by rail, ship or transport truck. The term shall also apply to metal storage containers that are commonly known as cargo containers, roll off containers, sea cans, freight containers, intermodal containers but specifically excludes dumpsters or recycling receptacles.

Shipping Containers are considered a discretionary use in a C1 Zoning District within the City’s Zoning Bylaw No. 04/2016. For further information/clarification, please contact the planning department – Email: planning@humboldt.ca or call (306) 682-2525.

Council for the City of Humboldt will be considering this application as part of the Discretionary Use Process at the Special Council Meeting held June 23, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. If you have questions or wish to comment on the application (or appear before Council on this matter), this can be done by:

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The City of Humboldt has received a Discretionary Use application to operate a Liquor Store at Units 117 & 118, 1919 8th Avenue, legally described as Block A – Plan BL3572, Block B – Plan 67H00360, and Block C – Plan 82H10650.

Liquor Stores are considered a discretionary use in a C2 Zoning District within the City’s Zoning Bylaw No. 04/2016. For further information/clarification, please contact the planning department – Email: planning@humboldt.ca or call (306) 682-2525.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The City of Humboldt has received a Discretionary Use application to operate a Multiple Unit Dwelling at 620 14th Street, legally described as Lot 5 – Block 43 – Plan D182

Dwelling, Multiple Unit: a building divided into three or more dwelling units as herein defined and shall include town or row houses and apartment dwellings but not hotels or motels.

Multiple Unit Dwellings are considered a discretionary use in an R2 Zoning District within the City’s Zoning Bylaw No. 04/2016. For further information/clarification, please contact the planning department – Email: planning@humboldt.ca or call (306) 682-2525.
