Create a Plastiq User Account

1. Click PAY NOW. You will then be directed to: request.plastiq.com/pay-city-of-humboldt.
2. Enter your email address and click “Get Started”.
3. You will receive a confirmation email to confirm and create your account. * If you do not receive an email within 5 minutes, check you Junk Mail Folder or simply re-enter your email address.
4. When you receive the confirmation email, click the link to verify your email and finish creating your account.
5. Create a user account, click REGISTER.  Fill out the required information (name, email, password).
6. Follow the steps in the email to confirm your account.

Make a Payment

With Plastiq, you have the ability to make a one-time payment or schedule a series of payments for delivery in the future. Below is a guide on how to make a single payment.

1. Click on “Start a Payment” at the top of the screen.
2. Select City of Humboldt in the recipient list and click “Start Your Payment”. (If you haven’t added a recipient yet, select “Add New Recipient” and complete the steps.)
3. Enter the Payment Amount and Delivery Date for the payment.
4. Choose how often this payment should repeat. You can select one-time, weekly, monthly or yearly.
5. On the Payment Details screen, enter your name and invoice number that will help us credit the payment to your account.
6. Add your preferred credit card to your account. Once validated, it will be saved to your Card Drawer where you can edit and/or delete it at any time.
7. Click “continue.” You will be taken to payment review where you can view all of your payment’s details.
8. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the “Total Fee”. Click the blue highlighted amount for an itemized fee breakdown. Should you need to update any information, click “Edit” next to the section. To review the Plastiq fee, click “Total Fee” and you will see a line-item breakdown.
9. Click “Submit Payment”. You will see confirmation of your payment and receive an email confirmation shortly after.

*** The City of Humboldt will not charge additional fees for using this service. However, you will be charged an additional 2.85% service fee per transaction by Plastiq (the credit card service provider) at the time of processing.
