Mayor Muench proclaimed the month of October as National Disability Employability Month in the City of Humboldt at the most recent Regular Council Meeting.
Persons with disabilities are valued members of our City and deserve the opportunity to live and work in the community where they are respected and rewarded for their efforts, skills and accomplishments.
Persons with disabilities are contributing members of the workforce in Humboldt and are a critical part pf our effort to build a strong local economy.
Proclaiming October as Disability Employability Month in Humboldt will help raise awareness about disability employment issues and will serve to celebrate the contributions of persons with disabilities.
