In Office:
Elected as Councillor in 2024

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Sarah pursued a career in neuroscience before discovering her passion for higher education. She worked at the University of Winnipeg and later at the University of Prince Edward Island, where she co-founded Young Voters, a non-partisan organization dedicated to increasing political literacy and youth engagement. In her time on Prince Edward Island, she also founded the Out of the Blue Gala, a large fundraising gala and event in support of mental health.

While in Prince Edward Island, Sarah launched her own textile company and was recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s 30 Under 30. She later transitioned into government work, serving in the Office of the Official Opposition at the Legislative Assembly, where she managed constituent relations, policy communications, and social media for seven elected members. During her tenure, she organized the Legislature’s first-ever rally, which led to the successful passage of an opposition bill. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of the Humboldt & District Chamber of Commerce, before resigning to run for city council.

Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, a power line technician, and their two young daughters. She currently serves as vice-president of Prairie Roots Early Learning Centre, a member of the Lion’s Club, and is involved with the Bill Brecht Park Upgrade Committee and the Carlton Trail Ski Club board. Sarah is passionate about transparent governance, open communication, and ensuring that everyone feels heard and represented.
