Roger Nordick

Roger Nordick

Councillor

In Office:
2012 to Present
3rd Term as Councillor

Roger Nordick was born in Humboldt, raised in St. Gregor. He attended elementary school in St. Gregor and McKague and secondary school in Nipawin, Saskatchewan and later attended Oklahoma State University for his post secondary education.

His career path led through the retail food industry for a number of years, leading him back to Humboldt in 1975 to work at Humboldt Coop. His passion for helping people led him to seek a career in emergency services which he embraced until retirement 2009. He became a volunteer Fire Fighter at the young age of 15 and continued to do so throughout his career. This provided a great Segway into joining the Humboldt Fire Department and later becoming the last volunteer Fire Chief.

After returning to Humboldt in 2009 and entering into semi-retirement, Roger now does home inspections. After decades of helping people and volunteering on numerous boards and committees, Roger’s interest in the municipal arena took shape. He was first elected to City Council in 2012, was re-elected in 2016, and re-elected for a third term in 2020.

“My responsibilities during this third term aren’t being entered into lightly. With certainty, I’ll do everything in my power to make informed, constructive decisions and without prejudice”.
