On Monday, June 24, Deputy Mayor Kelly Herperger proclaimed the week of June 23rd to June 29th as “Canadian Comic Book Week”!
By proclaiming Canadian Comic Book Week, the City of Humboldt recognizes that reading comics is an amazing form of entertainment for young and old alike and can be used as a teaching tool in literacy and arts. The proclamation also acknowledges the Boldt Con (formerly known as Comic Con) event on Saturday, June 29, 2024 during the Humboldt Summer Sizzler Fair in the Humboldt Uniplex featuring a large range of pop culture and entertainment elements across virtually all genres.
