Statement from The City of Humboldt on
NEW ePERMITTING PORTAL
HUMBOLDT, SK —The City of Humboldt is pleased to announce it has launched a new on-line building and development ePermitting solution on the City’s website.
The new ePermitting system will allow developers, builders, and residents to apply for permits, track the progress of the application and request inspections digitally, reducing the need for in-person visits to City Hall and increasing transparency around the permitting process. This digital building permit process benefits both municipal staff and the community by improving efficiency, communication, and file management with paperless, 24/7 access to applications outside of municipal business hours, while providing real time updates and email notifications on the status of an application.
“The ePermitting system will allow the permitting process to become inherently digital. It has pre-configured permit types to meet most needs, includes email notifications that are automatically triggered, and offers mobile capacity to support field inspections,” said Mike Kwasnica, Chief Building Official for the City.
Applicants are encouraged to use the new system from the comforts of their own location by visiting our website at humboldt.ca, however, they are welcome to contact the City for additional guidance. The City is always looking for ways to streamline and improve our business processes. To support ePermitting we have also streamlined our internal workflows and updated many of our procedures to help meet customers’ needs in the most efficient way possible.
