On Monday, June 12, 2023, Mayor Behiel proclaimed the week of June 19th-June 25th as Humboldt Pride Week.
Pride is a global movement that stands for equality and celebration of diversity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, questioning, two-spirited and their allies. Pride is a way to honour and respect all people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, to recognize our differences and uniqueness, to promote and build community through education and understanding.
