On June 30th, the province announced that indoor pools and other recreational facilities are permitted to re-open effective July 6th. Since the announcement, the City of Humboldt has been actively working towards re-opening its Aquatic Centre and other indoor recreational facilities. Staff have been recalled and are coordinating the necessary training that is now required to meet both the Provincial and industry standards, as well as establishing other procedures to ensure physical distancing and sanitization meets the provincial regulations for the safety of our staff and the public. We anticipate re-opening many of our recreational facilities by the end of July. We appreciate the public’s understanding and we will re-open when we are confident that it is safe to do so.
