KidSport Humboldt is a local chapter of a national organization that provides financial assistance for sports-related fees to kids aged 18 and under.  Through a confidential application process, Kidsport provides grants up to a maximum of $750 per child per year to cover the cost of eligible registration fees and equipment.  Depending on the demand from year-to-year, equipment, youth leadership opportunities, sport camps or travel costs may be considered.  Funding for KidSport is provided through a combination of corporate sponsors and community investors.

Canadian Tire's Jumpstart is a nationally registered charity dedicated to removing financial barriers so kids across Canada have the opportunity to get off the sidelines and into the game.

The Humboldt Jumpstart program assists with the costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation for sports and physical activity programming.  Interested participants can contact the City's Events & Conference Manager by phone at (306) 682-2597 or by email at for more information on how to apply.  Please be prepared to provide your contact information and the details of the sport your child would like to take part in.  You may also be asked to provide financial information in order to prove eligibility for funding.  All information received is kept confidential.

Applications can also be submitted through the following community organizations – PARTNERS Family Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Humboldt & District Community Services and the Humboldt Regional Newcomers Centre.
