To support community groups and organizations, the City of Humboldt coordinates special funding opportunities for local programs and events. 

Community Grant Program

*Please note: The new community grants application will not be available until 2018!

The Community Grant Program is funded by Saskatchewan Lotteries to support community organizations in delivering sport, cultural or recreational programs and events for Humboldt and area.

Applications are available in April of each year from the City of Humboldt.  The deadline to apply is April 30.

Grant criteria includes:

  • Groups must be non-profit community organizations;
  • Funds must be directly related to the delivery of sport, cultural or recreational activities;
  • Expenses must occur within the grant period of April 1 to March 31 of each year; and
  • Groups receiving a grant must publicly acknowledge Saskatchewan Lotteries.

Special Event Grant

The Special Event Grant is made available by the City to encourage local organizations to host sporting, cultural, conference or convention events that attract visitors to the Humboldt region.

Applications are accepted anytime throughout the year and must be submitted a minimum of two months prior to the event.

Grant criteria includes:

  • Groups must be non-profit or amateur organizations;
  • Events must use facilities and/or services within the City of Humboldt; and
  • The inclusion of a supporting letter from a related governing body, agency or association.
